Some cars drive faster than others despite the same settings (e.g. in case of weather change, virtual safety car, etc.)
If some cars can go significantly faster than others despite having the same speed settings (e.g. when it rains in the weather simulation, when the virtual safety car is active, or simply when the speed has been set the same under “Tuning”), then some cars may be affected by a change to the built-in decoder boards that Carrera has made in the 2019/2020 production year. Details on how to find out which cars are affected have been discussed at length on the Freeslotter forum (german).
The “fuel consumption” is also lower as a result
The fact that the vehicles drive at different speeds due to the problem described above also has an effect on the virtual “fuel consumption”. Fuel consumption is measured in the Carrera Digital system according to how hard you press the controller. The harder you press, the higher the consumption. If a car is driving faster than another due to the decoder problem, you have to press the controller less hard, which leads to lower consumption.
