Understanding and changing settings
Most of the settings in SmartRace are made in the “Settings” area in the main menu. The settings dialog consists of several sub-areas:
- Appearance – the general appearance of the app, e.g. the language of the user interface.
- Race screen – everything to do with the race screen, in particular the configuration of what information is displayed and how it should look.
- Driving – Settings for races and other events, e.g. when races should end.
- Fuel simulation – sets up the fuel simulation, e.g. what should happen if a car runs out of fuel.
- Sounds – configure the ambient sounds and voice output (text-to-speech).
- Data interface – here you will find all the settings for the data interface.
- Miscellaneous – everything else, e.g. activating and deactivating debug mode.
All settings should be self-explanatory or contain a short explanatory text so that you understand what the setting is about. You can change as many settings as you like and click the green “Save” button at the bottom of the screen when you’re done. Certain settings will require the app to be reloaded when you change them.
