The VSC add-on allows for deploying a virtual safety car during races (also known as full course yellow, FCY). Once the VSC is deployed, the speed of all cars is automatically reduced to a value which can be changed in the settings (defaults to the lowest possible speed value). The VSC stays deployed for a configurable amount of time, which can be extended or reduced. The time is counted down automatically and once its over, the speed of all cars is being restored again.
At the beginning and before the of the VSC phase, there will be voice overs to let the drivers know. During the VSC, drivers can continue to drive or even make pit stops.
